I’m Paola Yit, the founder of Posh Deluxe — and this is more than a business to me. It’s my heart, my journey, and proof that with passion and hard work, anything is possible.
Originally from the Philippines, I moved to Australia in 2013 with just $200 in my pocket and no family here — just a dream to build a life with my now-husband, whom I met through gaming. After five years in retail, I discovered eyelash extensions in 2017. I was instantly hooked.
I started Posh Deluxe from a small corner inside my in-laws’ home, learning as much as I could while juggling work. What began as side income quickly became a full-blown passion. In 2019, I started joining lash competitions — and to my surprise, I began winning trophies. That year sparked something in me: I wanted to keep learning, growing, and creating.
In 2020, even during the heart of the pandemic, I kept going. We partnered with top European brands, launched our first high-precision tweezers (which went on to sell thousands), and I moved into our new home with my first proper lash studio. That same year, I began training students, judging competitions, and even showcased our brand at a Perth beauty expo. It was a turning point — I was no longer just offering services; I was building a brand.
By 2021, teaching became a true passion. I also did our first-ever brand photoshoot, and in 2022, I took it a step further by learning portrait photography so I could create content on my own. That freedom brought new excitement to everything I was doing — I felt like I had full creative control of my brand.
In early 2023, I decided to take the biggest leap yet — to open a real salon. We searched for months, prayed for signs, built business plans, and finally signed our lease. The build took 8 long months, full of delays, stress, and doubt. But we didn’t give up. In August 2024, Posh Deluxe officially opened its doors at The Precinct in Mount Pleasant.
The beginning was tough. No one in the area knew us. We worked hard to market, advertise, and spread the word — and slowly, the blessings started to pour in. One by one, the right people began joining our team.
Today in 2025, I’m proud to say we’re not just a salon — we’re a family-run business with a heart.
Our current team includes:
- Edwin Yit – my husband and the true backbone of Posh Deluxe. He handles our accounting, staff management, and business operations.
- Aljoy Burzon – a gentle, kind lash artist from the Philippines, trained by me. She creates stunning sets and has grown beautifully in confidence and skill.
- Nataliia Horna – our lash lift expert from Ukraine, also trained in-house. Her work is meticulous, and she brings so much care to every client.
- Larysa Snurnikova – a talented PMU artist from Ukraine, with a deep passion for brows and lips. She brings high-end techniques to our beauty services.
We’re now living the dream I once risked everything to chase. A dream built on resilience, passion, creativity, and faith. Our goal is simple: to make people feel beautiful — and even more beautiful — with every visit.

We’re Paola and Edwin — the husband-and-wife duo behind Posh Deluxe.
Paola is the creative force and head educator at Posh Deluxe, with over 7 years of experience in lashes and brows. From training students to building award-winning lash products, she pours her heart into everything she does — always chasing innovation, quality, and artistry.
Edwin is the behind-the-scenes boss who keeps everything running smoothly. He manages operations, accounting, and staff with a calm and strategic mindset that keeps the business grounded. From coordinating fit-outs to making sure every detail runs to plan, he’s the rock that supports it all.
When we’re not working, you’ll probably find us gaming — side by side, strategising, and chasing the next big win together. That teamwork and determination carry into everything we do. Building Posh Deluxe has been our shared dream, and it’s more than just a business — it’s our way of helping others grow, succeed, and feel confident in their craft.
At the heart of it all, we’re just two people who love creating, building, and making magic happen — always as a team.
I am Aljoy, a mom to a loving, playful, and smart 6-year-old little girl. My daughter is my everything, my strength and my weakness. I am a very passionate woman who loves making people happy, even the saddest person on earth. I always strive to embody my name, Aljoy, by sharing pure happiness and genuine laughter.
How did I become part of Posh Deluxe? It all started with a collaboration between Paola and I as she handled lashes, brows, and photography, while I did hair and makeup. After our second collaboration, she offered me a position as a lash artist. Without hesitation, I said yes. At the time, I had no experience in lashing, but Paola was incredibly supportive. I was literally a newbie from nothing to something. With her guidance and encouragement, I eventually won a lashing competition, something I never imagined possible without her help.
Now, our team at Posh Deluxe has grown bigger and stronger. We have a friendly environment and a very supportive management team. Come visit me at Posh Deluxe—I promise to give you the best service you deserve!

My goal is to create results that are soft, elegant, and long-lasting — so you can forget about spending time on your daily makeup routine. With my work, your look becomes effortlessly beautiful, and your mornings get a whole lot easier.
